History

• Worked with companies in North America, South America, Europe, Australia and the Caribbean.
• Operated Emmeti USA, a sales and service company, for three Italian packaging machinery manufacturers. After 4 years of pioneering work, Techmark sold over USD 50 million of packaging equipment in 5 years to customers in North America, South America, Australia, and the Caribbean.
• Educated engineering and production personnel throughout North America’s glass and plastic container industry about the financial advantages of converting from case packaging to bulk packaging of finished products.
• Assisted in the conversion of Gallo Glass (operating the largest glass container plant under one roof) from carton palletizing to bulk palletizing.
• Sold E. & J. Gallo Winery an automated container handling (bulk depalletizing) system for the world’s highest speed wine filling line.
• Worked with Liquid Container, a manufacturer of plastic containers, to provide conveying systems, bulk palletizers, and a shuttle car for a new facility producing “revolutionary” Folgers® AromaSeal™ Canister.
• Created Pharmaceutical News Network, PNN, one of the world’s first video - trade magazines.
• Provided product concept & development oversight and market introduction strategies for AGR International’s launch of two new product lines.
• Assisted in the development, marketing, and sales of the PET container industry's (introduced at Western Container Corporation) first, high speed, on-line leak detection and quality control inspection systems for preforms and finished containers.
• Assisted in the development, marketing, and sales of the pharmaceutical industry's first complete line (introduced on Whitehall Laboratories' - now' Wyeth Consumer Healthcare - Advil® lines) of products designed to inspect and monitor product quality on the packaging line. This included the first machine designed to reduce the potential for product mislabeling by verifying the date and lot code on a round bottle traveling along the packaging line - after label application.
• Provided marketing consulting services to Datalogic, an Italian manufacturer of bar code readers, radio frequency identification equipment, and photoelectric sensors as they integrated three different organizations into a North American sales and service organization.
• Traveled internationally to conduct marketing research and project assessment.
• Traveled internationally to conduct training on container handling system equipment operation.
• Directed courses on Automated Packaging Inspection for The Center For Professional Advancement.
• Produced advertisements, brochures, catalogues, newsletters, press releases and other promotional materials for customers in the USA, Germany and Italy.
• Designed and coordinated numerous trade shows. We were responsible for the booth design, as well as the installation and start-up of the largest machine in operation at PMMI - Pack Expo 1998, that introduced the North American glass container market to European style bulk palletizing equipment.
• Assisted clients with shipments of equipment being brought into the USA via ocean and airfreight.
• Assisted AMP, Inc. with the market introduction of electrical connectors designed for Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) suppression.
• Co-authored two classified technical papers on the Global Positioning System (GPS).
• Authored and presented numerous papers for the Machine Vision Association, Society of Manufacturing Engineers, Society of Plastic Engineers, and the International Society for Pharmaceutical Packaging.
